Inuit Diet

Inuit diet wasn’t complex, it consisted of fatty fish like salmon, sardines, mackerel and also seal and whales. Seal was the largest and most important part of the Inuit diet. Inuit diet has changed dramatically and not so much for the better. Meat that Inuit eat is fatty meat from wild animals.

Meat is only an addition to the diet. Meat is and always has been part of our diet for millions of years. Fat has 9 calories per gram while carbs and protein only have 4 calories per gram. Fat is the body’s way of efficiently storing away energy.
